Total Av in Sydney, New South Wales - Payment

Hi, paypal informed me that a payment from my account was made on 13. Jun 2019 01:50:04 PDT

Transaktionscode: 9BH02599N7138553P

Problem is, I never made that, at least not knowingly.

I do not need Avast, as I have plenty protection, and would like my 99.- back. Thanks.

Total Av - Fraudulent Charges

On May 9, 2019, I notified that I did not wish to renew my subscription with them in response to an email from notifying me that my subscription would be automatically renewed. I received an email in response asking for the reason for cancellation.

I responded that I am using a different antivirus and to continue with the cancellation. I received ANOTHER email with a link to their site to cancel the subscription, but when I went to the link, it requested the last 4 digits of the credit card that I used to purchase the subscription. I emailed again with the following: " I do not remember these details and it's ridiculous that I'm being asked for this information. I have requested that you cancel my subscription and that should suffice.

If you do not cancel my subscription and try to charge me for a renewal, I will report you for fraud."

Finally I received this email on May 11, 2019:

"I can confirm that your TotalAV account has been fully cancelled and no further payments will be taken.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Kind regards,

Matthew Stennett

Customer Service Representative,

Big surprise! On June 12, 2019, I received yet ANOTHER email from notifying me that my antivirus has been extended and they are charging me $19.95.

I've already notified my credit card that this is a fraudulent charge, but really? Why would a company continue to try to charge someone who has repeatedly requested their account to be canceled?

Total Av - Don't Use This!!!

When my ZoneAlarm suddenly wasn't able to scan for viruses, I went with a free 7-day trial for TotalAV .. lauded as "the best" on numerous sites.

But when I conducted a simple clean-up of duplicate files, etc., -- y'know, the usual stuff -- it WIPED OUT half a dozen articles that were ready to go to my publisher, that had been saved in Bitmap. It also WIPED OUT several issues of my newsletter, "Veritas," that were stored in their own file. Those were JPEG.

I now have to try to re-create about a month's work. There's no way I'll actually be able to totally reproduce this work -- and now, I'll have to do it in some haste.

The newsletters are a total loss, unless one of my readers has the four missing issues saved, somewhere.

And needless to say, I've uninstalled TotalAV. DON'T USE THIS!!!

Reason of review
Stupid thing can't distinguish between harmful items and saved Bitmap, some JPEG items.

Total Av - Fraud company

I recently discovered a charge for the TotalAV antivirus. I have no record of the account or of the download.

I sent an e-mail and they replied that I needed to send my account number and credit card info so they could "find" my account. I replied that I had no account and use their competitors product. I then called the customer service # and tried to get some info. They would not put a supervisor on and I was forced to hang up.

The next correspondence was that they had magically found my account. I said that I had no account and sent them a screen shot of the latest charge. I then sent the results of my meeting with my bank and demanded a refund of $58. They countered with a refusal to refund the charges and instead wanted to charge me less.

They then said the account would be sent to their"senior" billing team, apparently a computer with bad memory since the next e-mail repeated previous info. I have notified my bank, the Better Business Bureau, and next the California Attorney General and the FBI.
