Wish I saw this before I purchased Total AV. At first it seemed like a decent product but then it took hold of my computer and caused interruptions to all my programs/processes.

It slowed my computer down to a point where I had to disable it in order to get any work done. I finally called customer service to cancel the product. I already paid for a year of service but had no desire to use it ever again. The CS rep was a nightmare to deal with.

His English was marginal at best and after about 30 minutes of telling him NO to other products, etc. He kept trying to bully me into keeping the service. I finally told him absolutely not, cancel my account now. He assured me he would turn off the auto-renewal (as it states on their website) and send me a confirmation.

I never received a confirmation from them. Here we are about 6 months later, I check the account and sure enough, it is set up for another auto-renewal. I went through the process of cancellation again, this time through email so I had a record of everything to show to my credit card company. This time I did get a cancellation confirmation after being forced to go through numerous pages of ads and pleas to keep the account.

TERRIBLE company. Don't get yourself roped in.

I canceled total AV

I canceled total AV and youre still charging me. I have several charges on two different cards. I was told by total AV there was something wrong with my bank card or something like that and they needed another bank card or credit card. So I gave them my credit card number. So they billed me twice. I know they are stalling to keep as much money as possible. Thats the way business is done folks maximum profit potential and *** the customer as much as you can before they leave.

Rip off crooks

I get a credit card bill with $145 on it WTH I canceled them over a year ago because it was garbage and now they charged my card after I canceled it over a year ago.. Its not even on my computers and I never logged into my account.. What crooks...STAY AWAY

They steal from you!

They offer a free version and then with access to all your passwords they steal money from you! They just stole $99 from me! I contacted paypal and bank and they both said "too bad, Total AV says you wanted this!!! Do not download!

Cancellation of account

Needed to cancel account due to my husband passed away. Customer service representative looked everything up,,,I didn't have a lot of information,,,but she verified everything with me. She then was able to cancel my account. Such a relief. Taking care of these items has not been easy

I emailed you and told you I didn't want your service anymore and now you're billing me twice from two different accounts

Charged me for a payment before my free days were used and now the charge is showed up on my CC.. the fee wasn’t that much however it is the principle of what was advertised I did not received.

Trying to discuss the charge to my account from one of their representatives is not adding up to what was advertised .. sign up and get a free month and cancel before that time ... I decided to cancel and I did a few weeks back . Today the amount of monthly charge came through on my cc .. after speaking to them it seemed I had checked a box that told them to charge monthly and now they thought I waited too long to cancel .I canceled within 4 days of applying ... so their free days are nonexistent . Im sorry to say I would not recommend this.company Thank you Carolyn Ellis

Poor Service - Cancelled a yr ago but deducting Money from my Acct !!!

Total AV - Has been a Scam! After initial sign on, Nothing was done! So after a few months I cancelled their Service. ..... Yet, they have continued to bill and collect my Money... different amounts and sometimes (2) Twice a month (8.99, 9.99, 10.99) from my Bank card n even billing n collecting my monies through PayPal.... after i attempted to Block payments!!I have Emailed TOTAL AV a few times through PayPal n etc FURTHER CONVEYING MY CANCELLATION AND NEED FOR TOTAL REFUND....... AND HAVE had NI RESPONSE - but continued BILLING n Collecting of Money!

Got double billed for my refund

I asked for a refund and cancelled my service and was double billed instead of refunded. I have looked at the actual reviews and I know this company cannot possibly have a 4.6 out of 5. Furthermore, I am going to contact the better business bureau tomorrow and the magistrate on this company's rip off service, it may be a candidate for a class action lawsuit. Good job at that, there are enough of us with one star or fewer reviews, I was hoping there would be a no star review for you

I wanted to have my money refunded as I am not at happy with totalAv

I have emailed, and phoned Totalav no joy in getting my money refunded I feel I was being fobbed off,, they had no intention of refunding my money, I ,recieved a free trial but did not wish to continue but Totalav still billed my mastercard account Mastercard

Ok for 1st year or so. Reasonable charge.

March this year £141+was submitted to my bank, bank blocked them.So they hassled me with comments of my pc was at risk. So I signed up with another provider for 2 years. Sent email to TotalAV and they cancelled my subscription. Good?

No!. This June the amount of £118.81 was taken out of my a/c. Unfortunately not blocked by my bank. I have emailed them back & forth to get a refund.

They told me it was taken out with another email address similiar to mine.I found out what email address was used because I rang and the gent told me what the email was, which I don't have. Immediately I smelt a rat and asked them to investige internally because someone had created an email in my name, reopened my closed a/c and stole the money. I have been back and forth with emails and have not got anywhere, just fobbed off with T&C that say I have gone over my 30days so therefore could not get get a refund. I even threathened to go to the tabloid, might still do that.

So I queried them, why would I go and open an a/c with them - remember my account had been closed by TotalAV back in March 2021- and then select AV for £118.81 when I already had Antivrus and the account had been closed. Have proof of email for that.

Sudden charges show up on PayPal

One day I had two charges, 0.99 and 99.0 show up in my PayPal account. I never authorized this. Cannot find a web site to cancel something I never signed up for.

TICKED OFF WONT C LOSE MY ACCOUNT INSTEAD REPORT IT AS BEING SUSPENDED BY THEM FOR NONE PAYMENT

CHANGED MIND SEEING THAT DID NOT UNDERSTAND PRICING SO I CALLED TOLD THEM I WANTED TO CLOSE FIRST PART OF MAY NOT CLOSED AS 6/21 THEY SHOW ME SUSPENDED BY THEM FOR NO PAYMENT. NOT TRUE I REMOVED MY CARD
